Our first unit and the new C4R website!
The Community for Rigor has a new digital home! While you can still find us at c4r.io, we’ve updated our look. Thanks to the incredible work of Sonia Malpeso and her team of designers and Anton Morrison and his team at Mogul Global, we have a new website to stay up-to-date on what’s going on with C4R and access our educational materials!
Introducing our first educational unit
With the new website we’re launching our first unit. Confirmation Bias: The Original Error will equip students with a fundamental understanding of cognitive biases, especially confirmation bias, which is the root of many research errors. Each lesson blends theoretical insights with practical activities, ensuring that learners not only recognize bias but can also implement strategies to minimize its impact in their work. Real-world examples and interactive activities encourage students to reflect on their decision-making processes and develop robust research practices. This unit can be found in the 3-lesson, 45 minute Meeting version as well as in the 8-lesson, 3 hour Class version.
If you’re an educator looking to teach this topic, consider using the Class version of our unit for about a week’s worth of lecture. If you’re a student looking for something to do new in your lab meetings, try the Meeting version!
