April Clyburne-Sherin is an epidemiologist by training with 10+ years of experience organizing and training scientists to advance open research, rigor, and reproducibility. Her work at Center for Open Science, Sense About Science, Code Ocean, Reproducibility for Everyone, and now at C4R, aims to meet researcher’s where they are, assess their needs, and create opportunities to build skills and adopt new methods. At C4R, April specializes in activity development for the curriculum team with the aim of allowing scientists to develop and practice rigor skills that are relevant to their research. April has an MSc in Population Medicine (Epidemiology) from the University of Guelph and is secretly Canadian. She has a dog named Ada the Puppy of Lovelace and lives in Brooklyn.
